Quail Hunts
2006 ~
2007
SEASON OPENS OCTOBER 28, 2006 AND
CLOSES FEBRUARY 25, 2007
The
16,000+ acre Santo Nino Ranch is located near San Ygnacio,
Texas and its overlapping habitat allows wingshooters the
opportunity to hunt both Bobwhite and Scaled (Blue) Quail.
We hunt
100% wild birds only, we do not release birds. Lone Star
Guide Service proudly offers well trained gundogs,
professional guides and customized hunting vehicles, with
safety always a priority.
Our upland
bird hunts are exceptional and be sure to ask about our
quail and duck combo hunts.
Meals and
lodging packages are available and hunters may choose from
the rustic camphouse or luxury accommodations in the main
lodge, both of which are very comfortable. Meals are
hearty..... biscuits 'n gravy, Cajun gumbo and south Texas
barbecue to name a few. The large outside fire pit is the
perfect place for that early morning cup of coffee and those
"after hunt discussions".
Santo Nino
Ranch consistently produces good numbers of birds and the
abundant rains received this summer have provided nesting
conditions that will give us yet another great year for
hunting quail.
Laredo
International Airport is about 30 minutes away from Santo
Nino Ranch and with advance notice, transportation to and
from the airport can be arranged for a fee.
Lone Star
Guide Service can also provide their trained gundogs, guides
and hunting vehicles to hunt your birds on your ranch.
