"The teacher that teaches next to me at Pleasanton High School wanted to take
his family fishing. He asked me if I would arrange a trip for him, his
wife and 15 year old son. In the late 60's, I had George Foulds as a student. He worked with horses while in high school and I knew his work ethic from there, so I booked George to take us fishing. On the way
out, we found I was the only seasoned fisherman in the party and George said
if I could take care of myself he would handle the rest. As the day
progressed I saw a master teacher at work. One I wish I could be. I
think George wound up catching 2 or 3 fish just to show the others how to
work the bait. All four in the party caught fish. In fact we were two
fish from our limit when we played out of bait. The day was spent so we
came in, tired, wind blown, and satisfied. There was no doubt I had found my guide. It's been a good partnership.
