Welcome to Texas Fishing Guides. My name is Capt Phyllis Ingram and co-founder of this organization. We started in 1997 after I became a guide in the Corpus Christi, Texas Area fishing Baffin Bay and the Laguna Madre. Once I earned my Captain's license I immediately set up a website and waited for the trips to pour in. Much to my surprise this did not happen. After some serious research it became apparent we needed to band together if we wanted to have some placement value on the internet. Texas Fishing Guides was born.

We have gone through our growing pains like any organization but it has been a steady improvement from year to year. Our only goal as we started out was that everybody be treated fairly and we not become bogged down with advertising, but rather concentrate on giving every guide the best possible exposure we could make happen. With almost a million hits per month I believe we are definitely moving in the right direction.

We are always open to suggestions and try to hear everyone. At one time the some of the guides felt that longevity should count for placement on the different pages, mainly the ones coming in at the far end of the alphabet. We took a survey and it was voted that we leave it as is, which is done alphabetically with all guides on all pages. This way everyone is treated equally whether they be new or old.

We are grateful for all the participation by the Guides in Texas and hope that everyone experiences good returns on their investment. We are here to help in anyway we can.
